"I got a few hours in with Dust, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Very exciting sound design tool, love how it ads so much motion and dynamics to sounds that would otherwise be static and a bit boring. I love the visual feed back from the UI, and the UI design in general reminds me a bit of old PC games like Escape Velocity which gave me a welcome pang of nostalgia. I greatly appreciate being able to easily load my own samples in both the emitter section and into the convolution reverb.

There are a few things I would ad if I could:

- a better system for interfacing with a midi keyboard to make the program more naturally playable and less sequencer dependent; easily mapping all emitters to a keyboard, pitch tracking across all emitters, and a dedicated amp envelope for the output would go a long way.

-a key triggered envelope as a modulation source.

-some sort of visual indicator that shows the position value on the sample waveform, currently you have to earball it which can get confusing.

-customizable emitter colors; I'm partially colorblind and have trouble differentiating between a lot of the default colors.

Hopefully some of these can be added in updates?



Otherwise overall really happy with Dust and anticipate it getting a lot of use in future productions. "
